It’s taken a few days for me to figure out how to work my computer machine again after such a long vacation of video-like stuff, so here we go. Four video clips were filmed the night of July 25, 2008 at the Smiling Buddha Bar (well, 5 technically, although a Steve decided to do a sneak-hug-attack on me during it) two S.N.A.K. videos, one Señor Kasio and the below video.
Really… I like the “ultra band” that was created between the two groups. It was fun and everyone was just up having a good time… save for the fact that guitar & bass necks were probably being nudged into uncomfortable spaces due to the lack of horizontal space on the stage.
So there we go! A new experiment of the SNAK SUXX realm. I don’t know how well this will work, but considering the recent news, it can’t get much worse than this!
Basically I’m trying my own experiment of turning a standard blogging software into a band/fan site. I think it should work, however I am not convinced I’ve personally got the know-how to do it.
Therefore, who knows what we’ll turn up with!
It’s my goal this becomes an archive of SNAK memorabilia as the likelihood of new SNAK material will be… slim. To say the least.
S.N.A.K. & Señor Kasio at Smiling Buddha Bar on July 25, 2008
What happens when S.N.A.K. & Señor Kasio meet for the second time, this time at the ever popular hangout of Smiling Buddha Bar in Toronto, Canada. It’s one thing to share a stage on the same night. It’s quite another to share a stage at the exact same moment. Especially a stage that is quite obviously not big enough for both bands, even if they share overlapping member(s).
THEN, it’s one thing to have set bands up to play. And it’s quite another to just pick up instruments, and expect there to be enough musicians on stage to actually play a song. Haha. That, I think, is what made the night awesome.
And Happy Belated Birthdays to Tynur and Cousin Alex! We all celebrated their birthdays on this occasion, if anything else, as an excuse to get a bunch of people together and play music on stage.
P.S. Black shirt Wee Alex = S.N.A.K. White shirt Wee Alex = Señor Kasio, unless Wee Alex is on drums. Then I think it was Seabass, or just an answering to the call of “Who can play drums?!”
