S.N.A.K. Performs at Smiling Buddha Bar
S.N.A.K. Performs at Smiling Buddha Bar on December 29, 2006
This was one entertaining show. You have to expect that equipment will fail at some point… but no one ever thinks it will happen to them! S.N.A.K. ended up playing something like an 8 minute rendition of (if I recall correctly…) Magnificent Twist because at some point the power took out everything but Wee Alex’s guitar and the drumkit. As they continued to play on, Wayne, the bar owner, and the rest of the band tried various configurations of plugs to get the rest of the equipment working. When that failed, Tynur began to lead a sing-along just to keep things moving.
In the end the monitors were turned the other way around so the audience would be able to hear what was being performed, while the performers were now flying blind… or deaf? as the case may be, since they could no longer hear their own voices.
But screw technical difficulties. I have pictures!
